The 2015 “Imaginnaires” and Shooting Star Award Recipients!

Lisa Strout, Director of the Massachusetts Film Office. Lisa has led the office to the Commonwealth’s most successful year as the Location Hollywood studios, TV Networks and major producers turned to thirty times in 2014. She’s respected in Hollywood, eloquent in defining her mission to the public and press alike, and has succeeded in spreading visiting productions throughout the entire state and to many cities and towns.

Ben Fowlie, Founder and Executive Director of the Camden International Film Festival, one of the top 25 documentary film festivals in the world, is also Co-Founder and Programmer of DocYard, an award winning film and discussion series that runs from January through April at the Brattle Theatre in Cambridge. A frequent panelist and juror at film festivals like the Silverdocs, Big Sky, SXSW and IFFBoston; he is also an adjunct instructor at Unity College in Maine.

Ro Dooley Webster, President of NATAS Boston/NE, better known as the Emmy people, and Director of Communications and Public Affairs for CBS Boston. Ro is a recent recipient of NATAS’ Annual Silver Circle Award honoring her 25 years experience in broadcast journalism and marketing in New England. She received her master’s degree in marketing communications from Emerson College.

Tommy DeNucci, a Rhode Island Actor, Writer, Director and the only person who has, while under thirty, directed three movies in the Ocean State that received international distribution. His recent release, ALMOST MERCY is the first of a five picture deal with Universal for the young director. His ambition to be a working partner in the film industry whether it’s writing, acting or directing is about to catapult him to national fame.
