The newly renovated Rhode Island Center for the Performing Arts at the historic Park Cinema.

Cranston's Mayor Allan Fung called the cinema, “the jewel of Cranston,” during the October 23rd ribbon cutting, where he was joined by former Mayor Steven Laffey and RICPA owner Pi Patel.

The Park Cinema originally opened in November of 1924 and closed in 2002. RICPA offers a refurbished theater complete with 1,150 seats with balcony seating, an orchestra pit and state of the art lighting and sound systems. The landmark also features a restaurant, lounge, banquet hall and café.
