PAWTUCKET – After filming his latest movie Thursday morning along Main Street in downtown Pawtucket and later at the Coffee Exchange on Wickenden Street in Providence, legendary director Woody Allen agreed to leave his handprints and signature in red cement that will be placed on Pawtucket’s “Hollywood Walk of Fame.”

Allen took time out from the Providence filming to imprint his marks, which will be installed outside the former Riverside Diner in Pawtucket’s Times Square, at Goff Avenue, Broad Street and Exchange Street, where stars Dustin Hoffman, Dennis Franz and Sean Nelson and director Michael Corrente left their imprints when they filmed the 1996 movie “American Buffalo” in the city.

City officials and members of the Blackstone Valley Tourism Council worked with representatives of Allen to arrange the cement tribute.

Allen’s new movie stars Joaquin Phoenix and Emma Stone. The title has not yet been release.
